Rebecca's Kitchen

Rebecca's Kitchen five fruit Maralade
No blog about the local produce in Purbeck would be complete without a mention about Rebecca's Kitchen.  I'm not sure when I become aware of the brand, it was probably a "like" from a facebook friend as Rebecca posted about her excellent range of preserves and chutneys which she makes at home near Wareham.

Rebecca has certainly hit the nail on the head, combining a excellent product with a great looking brand, which she markets on social media.  Rebecca was recently featured in the Daily Echo and explained in the interview:

Rebecca's Kitchen Chilli Pepper Jelly“I started giving them as gifts at Christmas and people suggested that I should start selling them. My sister, who sells art online, designed the labels and it went from there.”

In my opinion her crowning glory is the excellent Chilli Pepper Jelly, we always have a jar in the fridge which we use on anything from a roast dinner to a condiment at one of our BBQ parties.  We recently had to ask her to produce larger jars as the standard large jar would be exhausted within a week.

From a business perspective, Rebecca continues to find new stockists around the area, including selling her lemon curd to the well regarded chocolate masters, "Chococo", based in Swanage.  She also attends various shows and markets and will be attending our own Steeple Leaze Farm Christmas Fair in November, where she will be celebrating her recent membership in Dorset Food and Drink.
