Sam and his wife to be, Araya, produce some fantastic designs that just scream "Sea". Periwinkle designs takes its name from the small, edible sea snail that lives around the coast of the Atlantic ocean and focuses, as the name suggests, on crafts made of driftwood. Sam often takes himself off to some beautiful locations, including Kimmeridge and Warbarrow bay, to look for driftwood washed up on the shore, then turns then into designs that you just need in your home.
Its not just driftwood though, whilst Sam gets on with the heavy work in creating mirrors and shelves, wife Araya puts together a selection of curious creations to decorate a dull wall or empty space. "Birds" on a line is one of my favorite, made simply from pebbles mounted on canvas, they bring humor and style to the theme.
Periwinkle Driftwood designs sell on Etsy or at local shows, keep an eye on this blog where we will keep track og their joint venture or visit them at Etsy or Facebook.
